Reconnecting people with nature
We are a purpose driven consultancy, deeply passionate about delivering environmentally sensitive woodland and habitat restoration projects, as well as regenerative forestry practice. We believe in a better world where people, woodlands and wildlife can thrive together.
What we do
We combine forestry and habitat restoration expertise with business consultancy
An investment and asset management platform to develop a portfolio of natural capital projects, financed by private investors
With 50+ landowner clients across Scotland, we provide consultancy and project management services to design and deliver exceptional restoration projects
Launched in 2024, our in-house training academy for our staff and the wider forest industry providing specialist training in regenerative forestry practice

We have tons of experience
TreeStory is led by professional, trusted and experienced chartered woodland professionals with over 150 years of combined experience in the land-based sector. We’re not brokers – we develop and deliver every project ourselves. With strong ties to over 50 Scottish landowners, we bring unmatched expertise in land, natural capital, and the woodland sector.

We are driven by purpose
We are a purpose driven business, and we are in the process of applying to become a B-Corp. Our mission is social as much as ecological – we believe restoring landscapes and restoring people’s connection to the land are inseparable. We want people to create genuine connection to our projects – providing tangible and earthy experiences that provide deep lasting cultural change as well as ecological restoration.

We put nature first
Our approach puts nature first, not carbon codes or grant funding. Our projects are designed to restore all of nature (woodland, peatland, open habitat) through detailed management plans, with project specific KPI’s, backed up through external FSC accreditation and auditing.
Our mission
These four principles are the backbone of everything we do and they guide all of our project decisions.
Tread lightly in all our management operations to preserve our unique natural heritage of flora, fauna and complex ecosystems
Reforest our bare hills to provide Scotland with a dynamic and thriving woodland resource
Develop innovative opportunities for individuals and communities to engage with woodlands and participate in the restoration process
Stimulate biodiversity by building natural resilience into our woodlands through increasing diversity and restructuring monoculture plantations

Go beyond sustainable forestry
Our courses in regenerative forestry focus on leaving ecosystems in better condition than they were before, empowering you to contribute to the restoration and preservation of our natural landscape.
